Sophie Houser and Andrea Gonzales, founders of the Tampon Run, want to get rid of the taboo surrounding periods. ‘We menstruate for the biggest part of our lives and yet it’s considered almost an unspeakable subject, even for women. In our society, violence and guns are less of a taboo than tampons and menstruation. It’s ridiculous.’

The two high school students from NYC have created a game to get their message across. Because instead of using a gun, you’re meant to eliminate your opponents (little guys wearing red baseball caps) with tampons. And by doing that you’re helping Luna rid the world of menstruation haters. Make sure you don’t run out of tampons. Otherwise it’s game over. Currently the improved IOS-version can be downloaded for free in the iTunes Store.
